The really good news is that GoPro is creating an original extreme sports channel on the XBox Live network. But although GoPro scours YouTube for videos to use for commercials, the bad news is, it will only include GoPro-produced content and not videos generated by millions of GoPro users, but then again, every single GoPro video on YouTube is a commercial for the camera itself. And that’s marketing genius.
According to the announcement that was made at CES last week, the plan is to premiere the GoPro Channel on all XBox 360 platforms this Spring, and then bring it to the newest, XBox One platform by Summer.
