MeMINI camera break Kickstarter funding goal

A new wearable camera has with the power of hindsight has smashed its online fundraising goal within the first eight days of its Kickstarter campaign, breaking its initial fundraising goal of $50,000.

meMINI is a wifi enabled wearable camera that allows users to capture moments, after they happen. Sadly this doesn’t involve time travel – but the tech is very clever. It’s works by constantly recording video on a disposable loop. These loops can range from 5 seconds to 5 minutes depending on user settings. If nothing interesting happens then the loop is automatically discarded. But, when presented with a moment that you should wish to capture the recorded loop is automatically saved once the record button is pressed.

While this tech has been around for a while on bigger “pro” cameras it’s the first time we’ve seen it in such a small device. We can use uses for everyone from families to the emergency services.
