Blackmagic 4K VS Canon 7D:
Sometimes comparing new technology and older technology can really bring home just how far we have advanced in recent years. That’s certainly the case with this test video comparing the all new Blackmagic 4K Production Camera vs the 5 year old Canon 7D. Even watching on YouTube you can clearly see the benefits of the Blackmagic’s higher dynamic range, global shutter and higher resolution. It’s interesting to note that the Canon 7D still seemed to produce a more pleasing image in very low light.
So while this was an easy win for the Blackmagic 4K, some tough competition is about to hit the market, namely the Panasonic Lumix GH4 (GH4K). Now that’s a comparison we can’t wait to see!
